What the hell happened yesterday?
It is just me or was yesterday one of the busiest days in music news in some time? Between the festival announcement, new tour announcements, and album details, Monday got to be a tad bit overwhelming. In an effort to catch everyone up, here is a quick summary of yesterday’s events:
- We told you everything you need to know about this weekend’s Lollapalooza.
- The lineup for the third annual Detour Music Festival was unveiled. Among scheduled highlights for the Los Angeles based event? The Mars Volta, Cut Copy, Hercules and Love Affair, and Datarock.

- Virgin Mobile Festival drops its much-awaited 2008 schedule.
- David Byrne and Brian Eno announced the title of their upcoming collaboration - Everything That Happens Will Happen.
- CoS’ EN May checked out Tilly and the Wall at the Black Cat on Saturday.
- Ben Kweller revealed details of both his upcoming fourth studio album, Changing Horses, and his tour-only How Ya Lookin’ Southbound? Comein… EP.
- The Fratellis are going on tour.
- CoS’ Michael Denslow shared his take on Nas’ new, untitled album.
- ATP NY just got a whole lot better thanks to a few new additions.
- We also discovered some new names scheduled to take part in the Fun Fun Fun Fest as well. Oh and by the way, did we mention …And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead will be headlining?
