Grab the snacks! Cheech & Chong to tour!
Now that Nash Bridges is off the air and Tommy Chong is out of jail, it looks like our two favorite stoners are back on the proverbial wagon again. Despite the twenty three years that’s passed between now and their last comedy album, Get Out of My Room, Cheech and Chong are taking their act on the road. What can we expect? A whole lotta smoke.
“We’ve gotten to the age where we don’t feel like fighting anymore because the end is a lot closer than the beginning,” the 62-year-old Cheech Marin told AP Radio.
Cheech & Chong originally planned on reuniting in 2003, but Tommy Chong’s bong company was raided and he was sentenced to nine months in prison. Their new “Hey, What’s That Smell? Tour is expected to kick off later this year, giving you ample time to roll up several hundred joints.
Okay, so between Indiana Jones returning this year, hints at an Apatow-influenced third Ghostbusters film, and now the prospects of history’s famed stoners taking the stage again, one has to wonder if we’re really making any progress creatively anymore. But hey, I’m not complaining too much, especially since these shows will be too much fun. Way too much fun.
