Lolla lineup looking at additions and subtractions?

Lolla lineup looking at additions and subtractions?

With day one now officially in the books, Lollapalooza has gotten off to quite the memorable start. But even with a jam-packed weekend to look forward to, some rather large surprises may still be in the works, and not all of them are all that good.

Easily the most note worthy piece of news deals with Sunday night headliner Nine Inch Nails, whose scheduled performance at the Bud Light Stage could now be up in the air. Due to doctor’s orders, the band has postponed tomorrow’s night show in Minneapolis. While no news was shared in regards to the status of their Lollapalooza performance, one has to at least wonder.

So what happens if this nightmare scenario does result, and Trent Reznor and company are unable to give it a go on Sunday? Well with names like Wayne Coyne and Slash rumored to be hitting up Lolla this weekend, they’ll be a few possible replacements to choose from.

One act who will indeed appear on Sunday is Mark Ronson. Earlier today, the British musician/DJ revealed he will be joined by a 11 piece band, featuring the likes of Kenna, Wale, Rhymefest, and Alex Greenwald, during his performance on the Myspace Stage. What’s more, this will apparently be the last time Ronson will perform songs from his most recently released album, Version, live.

More as it comes…

  2. [...] while we still haven’t heard anything in regards to Nine Inch Nails, we do now officially know who will be Perry Farrell’s special guest when he DJs later today [...]
