Wire is officially back, plans on taking U.S. by storm

Last month, British rockers Wire released Object 47, their first new album in nearly five years. With the release has come a free single, “One of Us” and some sporadic touring, most specifically a performance at last month’s Sled Island Music Festival in Canada.

With all the complicated stuff out of the way, the four-piece outfit is now ready to get down and dirty with a slew of upcoming, new tour dates. Included in the North American stops will be a performance at the upcoming Pop Montreal Festival.
