Dan Deacon and friends offer unique concert experiences

The folks behind Baltimore’s Wham City are really starting to make a name for themselves. After another edition of their curated Whartscape Music Festival, the Dan Deacon led group have announced plans to bring their friendly styles and sounds to music fans everywhere. Only this won’t be your average tour.

The Baltimore Round Robin tour will see two-night stints at seven different North American cities, in which members of Wham City will takes turns performing based on their music style.

The tour is divided into two nights. The first night (Eyes Night) is a mixture of folk, noise, theatrics, improvisation, music that is spiritual, dreamy etc. The second night (Feet Night) is devoted to music that you dance, thrash or otherwise move around to and is a mixture of electronic, punk, hardcore, dance, and rock and roll musics

The format of the show is as follows:

  • All the bands set up at the same time along the perimeter of the room with the audience in the center.
  • Each band does one song per round, no breaks, back to back to back etc., until the show is completed.
  • There is no headliner or opener, no front row or back of the room

Who you will see on “Eye Night”?

Beach House, Creepers, Ed Schrader, Jana Hunter, Lesser Gonzalez Alvarez, Lexie Mountain Boys, Nautical Almanac, Santa Dads, Teeth Mountain, Wzt Hearts

And “Feet Night”?

Adventure, Blood Baby, Dan Deacon, The Deathset, DJ Dog Dick, Double Dagger, Future Islands, Height, Lizz King, Nuclear Power Pants, Smarth Growth, Video Hippos

There will also be a “Weird Round,” featuring artists peppered in the line-ups of both nights…

Boo Boos, Cornelious and Pitifa, Funny Clown, Mark Brown, Ram Ones, Show Beast, Sports Ghosts
