Outside Lands unveils inaugural schedule

Believe it or not, the first ever edition of the Outside Lands Music Festival is less than two weeks away. Before you know it, Radiohead will be taking the stage, becoming the first act ever to play the Golden Gate Park at night, and following the likes of Beck, Manu Chao, The Black Keys, and Cold War Kids on the Friday bill. If that isn’t enough to get you excited, you may want to reevaluate your music fandom.

In an effort to ensure you’re properly prepared, the folks behind the San Francisco-based festival, officially scheduled to go on between August 22 and 24, have released their day-by-day schedule. Of course, considering the number of quality names appearing on the inaugural lineup, the only downside to Outside Lands is its painful conflicts. Beck vs. The Black Keys vs. Manu Chao? Lupe Fiasco vs. M. Ward? Andrew Bird vs. Drive-By Truckers? Ouch!

But we’ll stop our blabbering and let you delve into the schedule for yourself. After all, no one music taste is alike, right?

Tickets are still available, as is our Outside Lands outlook page.

  1. Matt Nathanson vs Primus vs Cake…that is a rough one.

  2. Wow this is actually a completely RELIEVING schedule… of the two festivals I attended this year, Coachella and Bonnaroo, I had to make some pretty painful decisions; I don’t have to make a single one here. I won’t be seeing Widespread Panic, but that’s okay. I will see them again. Up front for Wilco & BSS will be much better.

    But more importantly:
Is there any news of a site map up yet? I really would like to see how far away these stages are. I am really surprised how many there are too, I was kind of thinking three.
