Musicians + tour = new houses
In support of Habitats for Humanity, Third Day, Switchfoot, Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Jars of Clay, and Red will join forces this support as part of the “Music Builds” tour. The rather odd combination of artists (though considering its for a good cause, does the similarity of the bill matter all that much?) will kick off the two-month tour later this month in Detroit.
Fans have two ways to win a chance to join the bands at build sites in Indianapolis and Nashville. The two individuals who raise the most money for Habitat for Humanity through MySpace, the tour’s exclusive online media partner, will be VIP guests at the “Music Builds” concert following a build with the bands. They’ll also receive special band merchandise, the new Third Day album, Revelation, which recently debuted at No. 6 on The Billboard 200, and a $1,000.00 American Express gift card to cover travel and accommodations. For additional details and to obtain a donation badge for your MySpace page, visit http://www.myspace.com/musicbuilds.
VIP concert tickets/private meet and greet packages in numerous tour cities are being auctioned off on eBay, as well as opportunities to build with the bands at the Indianapolis and Nashville sites. Proceeds from the auctions will benefit Habitat for Humanity local affiliates in tour cities. For further details, visit http://www.ebay.com/musicbuildstour.
Regular tickets are available via the tour’s official website.
