Since we talked yesterday, a lot has gone down in Oasis world. In addition to officially debuting Dig Out Your Soul’s first single, “The Shock of Lightning” (listen here), the English natives have announced a ton of new info.

First and foremost, Liam and Noel will join Trent Reznor and Metallica as the lastest acts to dabble in the fun of box sets. Oasis will release a limited edition version of the upcoming album (October 6), complete with “four heavyweight 12″ vinyl discs, two CDs, a DVD and hardback book all housed within an embossed hardback box.” The set will be the only legal way of obtaining the nine bonus songs and remixes recorded during album sessions. For the price of £50.00 ($92.99), this Dig Out Your Soul box set can be yours. Pre-orders now ongoing.

Speaking of pre-orders, one is also currently available for the album’s first single, “The Shock of Lighting”. Set for release on September 29, the single will be accompanied by the much talked about Chemical Brother’s remixed b-side of “Falling Down”.

And finally, as expected, Oasis has revealed part one of what is expected to be an extensive, 18 month world tour. The band will be hitting up a number of U.K. arena come October. Tickets for all newly announced shows (in italics) will go on sale begining Wenesday, August 20th at 9:00 a.m. GMT via oasisnet.com.
