Ingrid Michaelson to “be ok”

On October 14, Ingrid Michaelson will look to follow up on the success of 2007’s Girls and Boys and all its “The Way I Am” glory with the release of Be Ok. While not a brand new effort, the album, anchored by two versions of her song “Be Ok”, will feature an 11-track mix of unreleased songs, covers, and live recordings. A portion of the album’s proceeds will go to the Stand Up To Cancer initiative.

In support of the release and charitable efforts, Michaelson will also soon embark on a newly announced North American tour. The month-long trek, kicking off after the New York native’s support stints with Dave Matthews and Jason Mraz, will see Michaelson and her full band hit a number of major U.S. cities.
