Lollapalooza announces 2009 dates
It feels like just two weeks ago, we were roaming the grounds of Grant Park taking in the all that was Lollapalooza 2008. Oh that’s right, we were. But that was the past and now, we have to start thinking about the future, especially after the folks behind the Chicago based festival revealed the 2009 dates earlier today.
Mark your calenders. Next year’s edition of Lollapalooza will go down between August 7 and 9. Just 351 days away!

wow i guess someone has no clue the meaning and doors janes opened. they were a brillant and great live band. one of the best ive seen period! a janes reunion would be huge for lollapalooza and for real music fans.
i agree. janes is a great band. even to this day they can ( and hopefully will again) still jam and get your blood flowing. i would love to see them headline lollapalooza 2009!
I really have no idea who would play next year. I think the best way to tell would be to stay on top of upcoming albums by big bands. I mean, Radiohead didnt even release In Rainbows last year until February or something. That was long after the lolla dates were announced. So the best guess for whos gonna play would be big bands that are about to release albums that have a big buzz.
hmmm. i think red hot chili peppers should preform again…i would definately drive three days to see them! not that it is likely that they would play or anything.
I seriously hope Nine Inch Nails plays again next year. My favorite band. EVER. I didn’t get to fully enjoy their performance though, cause I was hooking up with some random guy while Trent was playing. =(
It would be awesome if Red Hot Chili Peppers made an appearance. Or Pearl Jam. Or Love and Rockets/Bauhaus again. And Rage Against the Machine (even if I almost died in their mosh pit).
I also think it would be pretty rad if like, Frou Frou or t.A.T.u. performed.
How about Fat Boy Slim (cuz u need some dance music), Offspring (cuz u need some rock), and Snoop Dogg (cuz he’s a badd ass rapper) those should b ur 3 top headliners and i really dont give a shit what any1 else thinks.

Natalie. - Has Frou Frou played together at any point within the past couple of years? That would be sick…I def wouldn’t want to miss that!
Fat Boy Slim? Offspring? They both blow. If you want rock music then let’s get Pearl Jam, Janes Addiction or Queens of the Stoneage. I can go w/Snoop but FBS and Offspring wouldn’t be worth it. And my guess is that the mention of these two is what made Austin spew just like I did. Can’t believe there are still FBS and Offspring fans walking around.
