Duffy returning to U.S. with Coldplay
Hot off her performance at Lollapalooza and the revelation that she isn’t the biggest fan of the Sex Pistols’ Johnny Lydon, Duffy has announced plans for a U.S. return with a 13-date stint begining in October. The tour will kick off in some smaller venues before the Welsh native, touring in support of her recently released album, Rockferry, before joining Coldplay for a number of east coast concerts.
Should I Go? Yes. If you missed repeated chances to catch Duffy outdoors, it should be interesting to see smaller clubs attempt to contain the singer’s epic wail. And no matter where you stand on Coldplay’s mope rock, there’s no question their anthems are made for cell-phone-in-the-air arena sing-alongs.
