Snow Patrol preps A Hundred Million Suns

Snow Patrol will return from a year-long absence on October 28 with the release of its new studio album, One Hundred Million Suns. Produced by the Grammy award winning Jacknife Lee, who most recently worked with Weezer on The Red Album and R.E.M. on Accelerate, the new record will reportedly see the English natives diversify from the sounds that brought them Platinum on 2006’s Eyes Open.

“It’s still very much melody- based, but it’s different too in ways from the other albums. It’s hard to know what everyone will make of it but we’re happy. I’d go as far as to say I think it’s our best album yet,” drummer Johnny Quinn recently noted in an interview with the Belfast Telegraph.

“Take Back the City”, the album’s first single, will proceed the record with an October 13 release date. The band is also expected to unveil a number of tour dates in the coming weeks as well.
