AC/DC unveils new single
Fans of Australian rockers AC/DC have been waiting too long. Eight years is brutal for anyone that’s been wanting a follow up to 2000’s Stiff Upper Lip. However, there’s some positive light to the long, long wait. Patience has added up it seems as “Rock N’ Roll Train”, the new single off the band’s upcoming release, Black Ice, is both classic and fun.
We had a 30 second preview last week, but in that short time frame, there was no sign of vocalist Brian Johnson, only the bright rhythm of guitarist Malcolm Young and a few teasing licks from brother, Angus.
Many will be relieved to find out that Johnson still has the umph to carry on. His vocals are cough-y yet not too fragile. And even though the song is staple AC/DC, we’re somehow okay with that. After all, it’s not like we’re looking for too much evolution here. We just want to rock out.
And we’ll sure as hell do that come October 20th. Unfortunately, we Chicagoans just need to find a Wal-Mart in the area. That, or just shell out the cash to the band’s official site.
