Oasis plans surprise NYC show
Even after all that went down earlier this week, Oasis is still finding time to play party planner and has since revealed details for an intimate New York City show in mid-September. Following its two-week stint in Canada, the band will travel down the east coast for an one-off at Manhattan’s Terminal 5 on September 12th.
The appearance at NY’s Terminal 5, which will be re-configured for the show, provides an extraordinary opportunity to see Oasis perform new material from their forthcoming studio album “Dig Out Your Soul” to be released Oct 7. on Big Brother Recordings/Reprise…
Tickets cannot be purchased through normal outlets. Instead fans must register with the band’s official web site to be eligible for a chance to purchase up to two tickets . Visit Oasisinet.com for more details.
Applications for ticket purchase exclusively through oasisinet.com are now open and will close at midday on Wednesday the 3rd September.
Tickets limited to 2 per successful applicant, and must be collected at venue will call on evening of show. Doors 7pm. Tickets US$50 each.
The performance, which will mark Oasis’ second U.S. date since it kicked off touring in support of Dig Out Your Soul, will surely feature a few new selections (see: “To Be Where There’s Life” and “The Shock of the Lightning”). Music Snobbery goes even one step further, predicting an early exit.

what do they mean re-configured?
I kind of had questions about that too. If you’ve ever been to Terminal 5, it’s hard to imagine how they are going to reconfigure it.
who cares? It’s a huge arena rock band playing in a club for 1000 people.
Actually it holds a little over 3,000. Last time the came though, they played Festival Pier in Philly which holds about 5,000. So this isn’t that amazing, especially if you have heard Terminal 5’s sound system.
