Ben Folds Five to reunite…
In what surely is the biggest reunion in recent memory, Ben Folds will rejuvenate the Ben Folds Five for its first public concert in nearly 10 years later this month. On Thursday, September 18th at UNC’s Memorial Hall, Folds will be joined by Robert Sledge and Darren Jesse for a performance of the group’s 1999 album, The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner, in its entirety.
Tickets for what is being called the “Front to Back” concert will go on sale begining Monday, September 8th at noon EST via etix.com.
While no other dates have been announced, based on the recent launch of a myspace page promoting the show, we’re willing to bet more our on the way. In the meantime, Folds has a number of upcoming solo dates scheduled.

Yeah, this is “surely” bigger than the Led Zeppelin reuinion earlier this year.
Jay, that reunion came and went. Still valid, in my book. Nobody as of late has hinted at a reunion.

that is amazing news. i hope we see a full tour after ben’s done promoting his new stuff.
i know i’m just impatient but i can’t find any ticket info other than when it goes on sale. i gotta know how much it is so i can figure out if i’m gonna make the 8 hour trip or not!
