Watch: Neko Case debuts new songs at Bumbershoot
Giving fans an early taste of what to expect from her upcoming release, Middle Cyclone, Neko Case took some time during her performance at Bumbershoot this past weekend to unveil some new tracks. Included in the alt-friendly set were three untitled selections, all of which will apparently make an appearance on Case’s latest solo endeavor when it hits record stores in March of next year.

In addition to the new songs, the New Pornographers’ member also tantalized onlookers with covers of Harry Nilsson’s “Alimony”, also expected to appear on Middle Cyclone, and Bob Dylan’s “Buckets of Rain”.
Neko Case was beautiful to both the eyes and ears. Alt-country isn’t my favorite, but compared to standard country, it’s like a freaking dream. Neko Case is an amazing artist and earns my highest respect.

Thanks for sharing my videos! I’m glad people like them. One quick note is that I’ve since learned that the Harry Nilsson cover is actually called “Don’t Forget Me.” When I quickly Googled the lyrics, “Alimony” was what came up, but I guess that’s incorrect.
These are just great. I’m so thrilled to have been there and now see these. I stood just below her up front and was in awe, now I can absorb the music at my leisure, can I stand to wait til March?
