Foo Fighters guitarist readies more side project fun
With members of his main outfit currently occupied with Metallica, Foo Fighters lead guitarist Chris Shiflett will be spending the next few months focusing on his other band, Jackson United. With the band’s second album, Harmony And Dissidence, now available everywhere via Acetate Records, the Shiflett led side project will be hit the road in October with fellow punk friendly outfits Flogging Molly and The Loved Ones.
Backed by the sure fire beat of Foo Fighter bandmates Dave Grohl (Nirvana) and Taylor Hawkins, who shared drumming duties for the Harmony And Dissedence sessions, Jackson United deliver fast-paced, guitar driven anthems reminiscent of punk’s glory days ala The Clash and Stiff Little Fingers.
