Uli John Roth prepares new record
Just like his English contemporary, former Deep Purple guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, former Scorpions lead guitarist and virtuoso Uli John Roth pushed the boundaries of guitar playing with neo-classical influences and inspired an army of disciples. Earlier today, Roth announced that he’ll be unveiling his first solo record in nearly 13 years with the release Under A Black Sky on September 20th via SPV Records. The follow up to 1985’s Beyond The Astral Skies willill encompass the guitarist’s long awaited side project, Sky Of Avalon, and serve as the first true official release from his project.
In addition to the new record, the German virtuoso is currently gearing up for a month long U.S. tour starting September 19th in Brixton, California all the way up until October 11th, ending in New York City.
