Watch: Phish reunites as wedding band
The Jammys brought them together. Rothbury gave its best attempt. But ultimately, it took a wedding to fulfill the rumors and bring about Phish’s long-awaited live reunion. This past Saturday, for the first time in over four years, Trey Anastasio, Mike Gordon, Jon Fishman and Page McConnell collaborated on stage. Donning suits and using borrowed instruments, Phish took over the duties of wedding band with a three song mini-set during the reception for former road manager Brad Sands’ wedding.

As of now, the performance appears to be a one-off, especially considering Anastasio’s recently announced solo dates. However, Gordon did recently hint to Vermont’s WCAX-TV that a full reunion could be coming…
“…but in my opinion the Phish thing is pretty likely at this point, because people are so healthy and enthusiastic about it among the band members. The vibe is really good.”
The Police’s Stuart Copeland followed Phish on stage with his own surprise performance, tantalizing wedding goers with renditions of “Can’t Stand Losing You” and The Meters’ “Fire on the Bayou”.
