Street Scene unveils 2008 schedule

Street Scene unveils 2008 schedule

In less than two weeks, Street Scene will bring the sights and sounds of its 24th edition to downtown San Diego, California. In anticipation of the festivities, the East Village-based block party has revealed the day-by-schedule of its overwhelmingly solid lineup.

When such a good bill is offered, you’re bound to have conflicts.  To no one’s surprise, Street Scene’s schedule is full of them. Saturday will see festival goers faced with the prospects of choosing between Spoon and Cat Power, MGMT and Hot Chip, and Justice and DeVotchKa, while Sunday will offer such conflicts as Tegan & Sarah vs. Ghostland Observatory and Tokyo Police Club vs. The Hives. But in the weekend’s biggest obstacle, fans will be faced with a daunting 30-minute overlap between Beck and Vampire Weekend. Alternative’s poster child vs. music’s biggest up-and-comers. Whom will you choose?

Check out the schedule for yourself below. Tickets are still on sale via frontgatetickets.com.
