Devo tapped as Street Scene’s new headliner
After The Black Crowes unexpectedly canceled four upcoming tour dates, including their headlining performance at this weekend’s Street Scene, the San Diego based festival was left scrambling to find a last minute replacement. All sorts of rumors followed - My Morning Jacket, The Raconteurs, Social Distortion, etc. - but in the end, it was Devo who saved the day. The legendary Ohio based new wave outfit will close out the 24th annual Street Scene, serving as the new Saturday night headliner.
Talk about an unexpected choice, but a pretty steallar one at that. Devo has spent much of the year touring around the world, remixing a song for Datarock, and releasing the This is the Devo Box.
