Britney’s back (again, and for real)

Britney’s back (again, and for real)

Come December 2nd, everyone across the world will be getting their Christmas (or Hannukah, or Kwanza, or…) presents early. Britney is back. This time this comeback isn’t going to be a lackluster performance or an identity crisis. No, the former pop idol is insistent on taking back the world, and she plans to do it before the year’s over.

For those uninformed, December 2nd happens to be Ms. Spears’ 27th birthday. To celebrate, she’s releasing her sixth studio sensation, Circus. Produced by Guy Sigsworth (Madonna, Alanis Morrisette), Spears has been hard at work on the album this past summer, collaborating with the likes of Lil’ Jon, Lady GaGa, and the typical Spears writing team that’s Keri Hilson and The Clutch. Early listens have pegged this to be ’something else,’ which should be good for the recent recluse, especially after last year’s debacle.

Personally, I thought there was nothing wrong with Blackout, it was just hard to get behind an album that was both unnecessary at the time and a bit awkward given the situation. As for this year, we’ll see come September 22nd, when the album’s first single, “Womanizer,” debuts.

Spears has really been on a roll as of late. Aside from this diamond in the cards, the singer picked up ‘Video of the Year’, ‘Best Female Video’ and ‘Best Pop Video’ at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. And to ad lib South Park, she really isn’t “chubbed up” anymore. No, the new lean and fit Spears is everything any child, teenager, or unemployed forty-year old would salivate over.

That’s show business you can’t buy!
