Check Out: White & Key’s “Bond” song

Check Out: White & Key’s “Bond” song

Two years ago, film audiences were treated to Casino Royale, quite possibly the best James Bond film since Sean Connery left the series. Everything was perfect, well almost perfect. The great? Daniel Craig nailed down Ian Fleming’s quintessential features for Bond. The good? The action seemed believable and stunning at the same time. So, what the hell’s the downside? That atrocious Chris Cornell theme.

For this year’s follow up, Quantum of Solace, it seems like the producers are getting things right this time. With multi-talented Alicia Keys divvying up the studio space alongside rough necker Jack White, the result is something very essential and extraordinary. There’s the typical hammering thud from White’s camp, but also an added melody here that brings to mind sounds of R&B and soul. To sum it up, it’s a killer theme.

Before you take a listen, mark it on your calendars: Quantum of Solace opens up October 31st in the UK, with a November 14 release in the States.

  1. Personally I liked the Chris Cornell Bond theme, but then again I am a huge Chris Cornell fan. The atrocity is that he put it on his solo album and it sounded out of place. In my opinion anyway…..Can’t wait for the new Bond!

  2. I heard this yesterday and Jack White continues to blow my mind. Luckily I will be seeing him perform tonight in Seattle with the Raconteurs.

  3. I couldn’t agree with those statements more. Brosnan was the best Bond. Craig was cool but he was more like a Vin Diesel than a Bond. And the Cornell theme was great.

  4. More like Vin Diesel? You’re kidding me, right?

  5. fantastic… way better than cornells in my opinion
