Ryan Adams offers more Cardinology sounds
It’s getting to the point where we wouldn’t even be surprised if Ryan Adams decided to leak Cardinology himself. After officially announcing details of his upcoming new studio album (10/28 via Lost Highway) last week, the singer/songwriter hasn’t at all shied away from offering up some of the record’s sounds. In addition to the four new selections he debuted earlier this month, Adams has since dropped a taste of “Crossed-Out Name”, another one Cardinology’s tracks.
Yesterday, a pretty rough quality video of Adam’s performing the song was sent to members of the not so exclusive Cardinology club. We say “not so exclusive” because the video is pretty easy to access. All you need is a “classic” password.
The Cardinals frontman has also dropped a studio version of the previously debuted “Fix It” for all to here via the old reliable Foggy. The tune is currently slated to be the first single off of Cardinology and was supposed to be officially released anytime now, though at last check, it has yet to surface. Perhaps Adams’ disatisfaction with the labeling has something to do with the delay?
first of all, i am sorry my name is listed “and The Cardinals”. I tried everything and it was not accepted.
that being said we worked equally and in a world of compromise, we worked together, all us Cardinals on what is my favorite record I have ever made, or been a part of.
Regardless of what the song may say, Adams will get to show off the togetherness of the Cardinals when the group appears together on the Late Show with David Letterman on October 29th, a day after the upcoming album officially hits record stores.
The album is currently available for pre-order via musicdirect.com.
