Smashing Pumpkins divulge more “anniversary tour” details
On Tuesday, Billy Corgan and the current incarnation of Smashing Pumpkins dropped the dates for their long-awaited tour dates. Considering the itinerary included a number of high-profile stops, including four dates in the band’s hometown of Chicago - the first time they’ll perform there in over a year - the tour was already pretty compelling. But little did we know at the time just what Corgan and Co. have in store once they hit the stage.
Cities that see multi-night stints are in for a special surprise as the Pumpkins will offer completely different set lists for each show. Night #1 will be deemed “Black Sunshine,” while night #2 will go by “W
hite Crosses,” though no word yet as to what these titles signify. As for folks in Chicago, who are lucky enough to host the band for four nights, they’ll get two times the amount of fun. Two-day bundle packages will be available for these shows.
What’s more, according to the fine Pumpkins fans over at Hipster United, in addition to tickets, fans will have the opportunity to purchase DRM-free mp3s of live show recordings for $16.22.
Speaking of tickets, purchasing opportunities will begin fairly soon - a few are even starting to show up on ticketmaster.com. Check out a list after the dates…
