Eagles of Death Metal hearts 2008

2006 was a very good year for California blues rockers Eagles of Death Metal. Between the success of its sophomore effort, Death by Sexy, and support stints with The Strokes and Guns N’ Roses (and the accompanying war of words), the Jesse Hughes led outfit had one of those “once in a lifetime” type of years.

Two years later, Eagles of Death Metal will now try to duplicate this success with the release of its brand new studio album, Heart On, on October 28th via Downtown Recordings. Produced by co-founder/in studio collaborator Josh Homme, the album has been described as comparable to a “top-secret music missile.” To accomplish this, the band enlisted “fellow magicians” Kat Von D, Brian O’Connor, and Brody Dalle among others for guest spots.

Following the release, the Californians will head out on a month long headlining tour begining at the end of October in Seattle.
