RE: Led Zeppelin w/ Robert Plant = Nevermind

Now I know why 1.) never to trust 99% of British newspapers and 2.) no one really knows what Led Zeppelin is going to do. After details once again emerged last week that the English outfit is well on its way to a full-fledged, worldwide reunion tour with frontman Robert Plant, comes comments to the contrary from Mr. “Anti-Zeppelin” himself. In a statement released over the weekend, Plant officially denied reports that he has agreed to tour and/or record with his fellow bandmates.

“It’s both frustrating and ridiculous for this story to continue to rear its head when all the musicians that surround the story are keen to get on with their individual projects and move forward…”

See: Robert Plant & Allison Krauss…

“I wish Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and Jason Bonham nothing but success with any future projects.”

See: Replacement singer…

Of course, this is just the latest in a series of unnecessary hoopla following the band’s one off performance in London back in December. Then came the Bonaroo rumors, Canadian tour dates, and Foo Fighther excitement, all which ended up being taking up a whole lot of newspapers and webspace for no apparent reason at all.

And the worst part? We’ll keep covering the whole thing until 1.) the impossible happens or 2.) um…, not sure.
