Springsteen confirmed as Super Bowl performer
Following in the footsteps of such names as Prince, Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones, and Janet & Justin, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band will be the latest hall-of-fame music act to perform at the game of all games. Yesterday afternoon, the NFL officially put an end to the rumors and officially confirmed that the Boss and his fellow New Jersey bandmates would in fact be the half-time entertainment for the forthcoming Super Bowl XLIII.
While what selections the Springsteen and Co. will offer remains to be seen - personally, I’m hoping for
some “Spirit of the Night” and “Jungleland”, and “For You”, yeah I know, talk about random - we do know that between the 80,000 ticketholders and 148 million T.V. viewers, this will probably turn out to be Springsteen’s largest concert to date. Oh, and plus we probably won’t have any trouble capturing clips online once the performance is over.
Not bad for someone who just turned 59-years-young.
In other news, tickets are now available for the ninth annual Light of Day benefit concerts, scheduled to take place on November 1 and 2 at the Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, New Jersey. Admission isn’t too pricey and there’s a pretty good chance you’ll get “you know who” as part of the package.

a great line-up again this year for the nov light of day shows, check out-
