Paul McCartney is The Fireman with new LP
Paul McCartney has made quite a bit of music in his life, some of which has gone relatively unnoticed. In the 90’s Sir Paul released two albums under the alter ego The Fireman, alongside producer Martin Glover, aka Youth, best known for his work with The Verve. Now, in his first album as The Fireman in ten years, the former Beatle will be releasing the third installment in the dance-friendly Fireman project, Electric Arguments, on November 17th.
McCartney and Youth reportedly wrote and recorded each of the album’s thirteen tracks in just thirteen days. Add in the “Arcade Fire meets Led Zeppelin” sound and fact that this will be the first Fireman project to feature vocals and you’re talking about some serious effort! Then again, to be fair, the thirteen sessions were not done consecutively, but over the course of a year.

In other McCartney news, Sir Paul has just returned from his monumental trip to Tel Aviv, where he played for the first time in some 43 years, since the Beatles were banned from playing in the country. Back then, Israeli officials feared that the music would corrupt the Israeli youth, I guess they’ve changed their mind.
