Watch: The Chosen “Reckoner”

Radiohead fans, rejoice! The In Rainbows Animated Music Video Contest, sponsored by aniBoom, is finally over. It seemed like it took forever, but there’s a winner and the finished product is good… damn good. Directed by Clement Picon, “Reckoner” plays mildly over the eerie video, which seems to follow the evolution and destruction of the world. It’s everything any typical Radiohead video might be: depressing, innovative, and stylish.

Given the song’s a fan favorite, Radio-philes can smile, put away their ink markers, and relax. Picon has exhibited some great direction here, and it’s close, if not up to par, with any of the band’s back video catalogue. Kudos to all the other contestants, it sure was a feisty competition. Now, let’s hope that “Reckoner” remix thing ends well.
