Bruce Springsteen adds more Obama dates, after that it’s anyone’s guess…
Bruce Springsteen wants you to register to vote. Then, he wants you to use that vote on Barack Obama. To accomplish this, the Boss has gone into all out campaign mood, music style, with a number of pro-Obama music performances that are seemingly multiplying by the day. Since unveiling details for the uber expensive, Bily Joel featuring “Change Rocks” concert earlier this week, Springsteen has announced plans for three additional politically focused shows.
On Saturday, the New Jersey native will kick a three-date stint aimed at “aimed at encouraging Obama
supporters to register” on the streets of Philadelphia, literally - a performance at Benjamin Franklin Parkway between 20th and 22nd Streets. The following two days will see Springsteen travel to Columbus, Ohio and Ypsilanti, Michigan respectively with two similiar concerts. All shows are free, but all have different admission policies. Get full details at the links below…
Once all the election fun is over, Springsteen will dabble in a few other one-off performances, including one rather notable one in Florida in February. There are also rumors floating around the web that the recently turned 59-year-old is currently in the studio working Brendan O’Brien and “select members of the E Street Band” on a new studio album, which would be supported by a tour in the spring. Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed…
