Fun Fun Fun gets even “funner,” Coachella confirms 2009 dates

Just in case you didn’t stop by our Festival Outlook page this weekend, lets try to kick off your weekend with a bang, shall we?

As if the forthcoming Fun Fun Fun Fest wasn’t already mind-numbing enough (The National, Bad Brains, Atmosphere, and Dead Milkmen all in one place on weekend!) the Austin, Texas based music festival, scheduled to take place between November 8 and 9, has defied logic and managed to get even better thanks to a slew of new lineup additions

Among the new names set to join the alternative + garage rock + progressive + comedy friendly, two-day bill include:

The Black Angels, The Black Heart Procession, Municipal Waste, Neil Hamburger, Black Joe Lewis and the Honeybears, The Octopus Project, James Petralli, Golden Arm Trio, Grampall Jookabox, Spot & Albert, Ume, J*davey, Camp X-Ray, Zeale and Phranchyze, Terp2it, Dragonboy Suede

Additional updates will apparently be made throughout the month of October. The full lineup, sorted by stage, is available on our Fun Fun Fun Fest Outlook page. Tickets are now on sale via frontgatetickets.com.

In other festival news, Coachella has finally confirmed the month’s worst kept secret. The 2009 edition of the California festival will take place between April 17 and 19 at Indio’s Empire Polo Fields. Unfortuantly, we don’t have any rumors (cough cough Depeche Mode cough cough) to tickle you’re fancy just yet, but don’t worry, they’re coming…
