Taking Back Sunday readies new album
Turns out Taking Back Sunday’s career as “chefs” was short-lived. After spending the last few months hanging with My Chemical Romance and hitting up Reading and Leeds, the Long Island based outfit has unveiled plans to begin work on its long awaited follow up to 2006’s Louder Now.
While details remain sketchy, the currently untitled album, tentatively scheduled for released in early 2009, will mark the band’s first endeavor with producer David Kahne (The Strokes, Paul McCartney) and new guitarist Matt Fazzi, who replaced Fred Mascherino last year.
The band has been working on the album’s material, described as “honest” and “urgent” with exciting and confident guitar work and vocal harmony, since early this year and debuted several of these selections, including a track entitled “That Is Quite Enough” in early May. It is not yet known if these songs will be included on the forthcoming album.
