The Killers go European
With all the SNL fun out of the way, The Killers is now in 100% campaign mode, ahead of the forthcoming release of its brand new studio album, Day & Age, due out November 25th via Island Records. Feather coats and weird singles covers aside, the Las Vegas outfit appears quite committed to go all out with this release - and we’re not just talking about defeating Kanye in the epic November 25th CD release battle. Yesterday, the Brandon Flowers led band gave us our first tastes of what to expect in support of the follow up to 2006’s Sam’s Town - dates for what will be The Killers’ biggest European tour to date.
Combine these new scheduled stops, set to kick off in late February at Dublin’s O2 Arena, with the previously announced, rather intimate U.S. stint, and it seems quite likely we’ll be humming the catchy, electro-friendly melodies of “Human” for some time. The only downside? The U.K. dates make the band’s rumored appearance at next year’s Langerado Music Festival a tad bit unlikely.
