Kid Sister readies for her Dream Date

Kid Sister readies for her Dream Date

For all the success experienced by Kid Sister since she first started offering her one-of-a-kind hip-hop stylings back in 2005, the Chicago born, Kanye West approved rapper born Melisa Young hasn’t had the smoothest of journeys on the way to the release of her debut studio album.

After originally announcing plans to unveil KoKo B in early July, Kid Sister got in arguments with the WWF, scrapped tour dates, and was ultimately forced to delay the album’s release not once, but twice. Add in a name and artwork changes and things just got down right crazy. Some four months later however, the hip-hopper appears to have finally gotten everything squared away and is now finally ready to release the end prouduct.

Now entitled Dream Date, Kid Sister will drop her 14-track debut on November 25th - the same day as her protégée, fancy that! - via Dowtown Records. In addition to offering some of the rapper’s “raw hip-hop sounds,” the record will also feature a number noteworthy guests, including David Banner, Estelle, and none other than Kanye himself. A-Trak, XXXchange, and Diplo also got in on the fun, providing some of the album’s production work.
