Sara Lov goes solo with new EP
After signing on with Nettwerk this summer, indie/folk performer Sara Lov has begun to find musical success on her own in Los Angeles, CA. The Hawaii-born singer, most commonly known for her work with Devics, recently decided to go solo and has since produced her first EP, The Young Eyes, which was digitally
released earlier this week through iTunes and her website.
Devics may have set the stage for Lov’s career, perfectly capturing her dreamy, melancholy voice, but as The Young Eyes EP shows, Lov is a truly talented artist. The five-track release consists of three original songs, including the title track for her upcoming debut album, Seasoned Eyes Were Beaming, which is expected to drop in early 2009. The EP also features two mean covers: Arcade Fire’s “My Body Is A Cage” and Beck’s “Timebomb”. Talk about making an early impression!
In support of all this solo fun, Lov will engage in a month long mini residency at Los Angeles’s Spaceland begining in January.
The Young Eyes EP Tracklist:
01. New York
02. Timebomb (Beck Cover)
03. Seasoned Eyes Were Beaming (Piano Version)
