Watch: Britney Spears is a “Womanizer”
Britney Spears has been through a lot these past few years; what with baby drama, tabloid trouble and trying to get her musical career back in check, but after a long time coming, ‘ol Britney is finally back! With her new album, Circus, set to hit stores in December, Spears has been living in the fast lane and finally starting to look like the pop star we grew to love and admire almost a decade ago! Take the steamy new video for the album’s lead single, “Womanizer”, for example…
Since debuting on ABC’s 20/20 last Friday, “Womanizer” and its moving images have been grabbing everyone’s attention. The video shows Spears taking on multiple personas (as she’s already done so well in real life), and actively attacking a man for not appreciating the women he’s seeing. Whether clad as a sassy co-worker, a tattooed waitress, or a sexy housewife, the pop diva shows that she is back to her sexy self and here to stay!
Could it be? Has Spears finally overcome the incidents that have plagued her over the last few years? Is she ready to reclaim her role as one of pop music’s greatest female performers?
It must be noted, however, that although the song carries powerful and motivating lyrics for strong women, the video kind of depreciates her statement as she writhes nude in a sauna throughout the video. Spears kind of makes up for this in a somewhat sickening manner, as she body slams a young man on a bed and then covers up his body with a sheet as she winks at the camera. Unfortunately, this is what we’ve come to expect in society today, but hopefully we can start seeing women in powerful situations that don’t require them to A.) be overly attractive or B.) get undressed.
So, prepare yourself for a wild n’ sexy trip down Britney Lane and keep in mind that this video is not appropriate for kids… or the office.
hey britney why don’t you behave yourself and let people like you. U went with someones man (kevin) and he left you, bcuz thats what you get when you take people man away. I though that would have woken you up. You have two wonderful kids and you aint setting any example. You’re plain whorish.
