CMJ unveils 2008 schedule
Wow this month has flown by. It seems like just yesterday we were battling the blistering temperatures down in Austin while watching David Byrne doing some choreographed dancing and Beck going all “Guero”. And now it’s October, the leaves are falling from the trees, and one week from today, New York City will be filled with the wonderful sounds of the 28th annual CMJ Music Marathon.
By now, we already know (see: Festival Outlook) who will be there and some of the shows that are definitely worth check out. Now, the folks behind the event have revealed the final piece of the puzzle - the day-by-day schedule.
CMJ has partnered with SCHED* to offer an official guide to CMJ. Browse 1200+ events, all happening October 21-25, and create your own custom schedule. Print it out, share with your friends or load onto your phone.
Anyone else’s head about to explode? Then again, considering the alternative (ie., the MySpace route), it is certainly much more efficient having the ability to sort through CMJ’s five days, 65 participating venues, and 1,000+ acts.
Consequence of Sound will be of course be live and on site from CMJ beginning next Tuesday to provide you with all the necessary info, reviews, and everything else that will surely tickle your fancy…
