Oh Kanye! What would we do without you?
Another day, another round of Kanye West news. It’s almost getting to the point where we should call ourselves Consequence of Sound (feat. Kanye West).
Joking aside, yesterday evening, the Chicago rapper used L.A.’s Power 106 FM to unveil “Coldest Winter”, another new selection (the third so far) from the forthcoming 808’s & Heartbreak. The song, which we learned earlier this week is dedicated to his late mother, certainly lives up to the album’s billed emotion-heavy themes and virtuosic singing styles. “Coldest Winter” is also highlighted by sampling from Tears For Fears’ “Memories Fade”, the 80s British duo who brought us such other heart-warming gems as “Sowing the Seeds of Love” and “Mothers Talk”.
P.S. Think we’re kidding about Kanye’s appearances on CoS? Yeah, not really.
