Method Man & Redman embark on tour, plan another “Blackout”

Method Man & Redman plan on spend the coming months getting really “high” before ultimately capping off the year with another “Blackout.” Alright, so sure, especially when dealing with the history of the parties involved, this sentence could very well turn out to be true in the sense you’re probably thinking about, but for the context of this story, the New York based hip-hop’s duo’s plans actually relate to the music aspect of its career.

Since early 2007, Method Man & Redman have hinted at a possible return, which could include a sequel to their 2001 feature film, How High, along with a seperate second collaborative album. While How High 2 still appears to be “in the works,” the rappers/filmmakers are indeed currently at work on the follow up to their 1999 debut, Blackout. Entitled most appropriatly, Blackout 2, the album is expect to see release in early December through Def Jam Records.

Ahead of the album, Method Man & Redman have embarked on a two-month North American stint. The “Still High” tour as it is being called was originally scheduled to kick off in early October, but was pushed back a couple weeks, forcing many of the previously announced shows to be rescheduled. Tickets to most shows can be found via ticketmaster.com.
