CMJ 2008 kicks off today, what are you doing?
The 28th annual CMJ Music Marathon is officially upon us. Five days of enough music to make any fan’s heart content…and head explode. Over 1,000 artists will take the stage at 65 of New York City’s favorite music venues during the next 120 hours, all in an effort to showcase their skills and gain some new fans along the way.
Hope you stocked up on the caffeine and subway cards. The next five days will define your fandom. But as overwhelming as it may be, Consequence of Sound will be along for the ride as well, here to provide you with news, recommendations, and reviews for all CMJ related festivities. Our own Matt Friedman and Elizabeth Grobel are on the scene as we speak, ready to help decipher the scenes that will take place over the next five days and put some thoughts and words behind them.
