Dave Navarro confirms Jane’s Addiction reunion show
While not all that surprising, especially considering the recent scuttle, it turns out that cryptic image appearing on Jane Addiction’s website, you know the one with the date of October 23rd being advertised down the left side, does indeed pertain to a planned reunion show.
In a posting appearing on his personal blog, guitarist Dave Navarro confirmed the news, proclaiming that the original members of Jane’s Addiction will be performing this Thursday night, October 23rd, at La Cita Bar in downtown Los Angeles. The evening will mark the first show with the band’s original lineup of Perry Farrell, Navarro, Eric Avery, and Stephen Perkins in nearly 17 years (Not counting that NME performance earlier this year).
If you don’t manage to get on Navarro’s guest list, you’ll have to RSVP to gain admittance. You better hurry up though, La Cita Bar isn’t that large.
No word on additional dates, but why wouldn’t Perry and Co.? At the very least, they’d provide a good rumor for Lollapalooza 2009…
