Guns N’ Roses to release single tomorrow
If it’s news, we’ll report it. If it’s Guns N’ Roses news, we’ll throw it to the dogs. Last week, we tossed a ton of updates regarding the upcoming album, but you pooches might be interested in finding out that Axl Rose & Co. will be releasing a new single tomorrow. That’s if major American radio is reporting correctly, which, by all accounts, should be.
As you can see above, this is the schedule for FMQB Radio tomorrow. And sure enough, there’s “Chinese Democracy” listed under Buckcherry. Then there’s WAAF Rocks!, which has a banner that reads “Hear the new Gn’R @ the top of the hour every hour tomorrow starting at 6AM!” This stuff is spreading like a viral infection. Even Eddie Trunk has some confirmation regarding the release:
10/21/08: Well it’s finally official. After years of waiting the world will hear the first official release of new Guns & Roses tomorrow! Just got an official email that the song Chinese Democracy is being sent to all radio tomorrow morning. Axl is back for real this time! Look forward to hearing the CD the way he wanted after all this time. Of course I will play it next time I’m on the air this Friday and Monday. Also, just a little side note for the Guns freaks out there; Bumblefoot does the theme music for my upcoming new VH1 Classic show “That Metal Show” and makes two guest cameos in it! Welcome back Axl, can’t wait to hear the real finished product.
So, this is the new hit single, huh? Is it enough to be a hit? Well, check out for yourself below… it’s not the official release, but nonetheless, you’ll get an idea. Personally, the band would have been better off with “Better”, “Shackler’s Revenge”, or even “I.R.S.” However, if the band’s proposed marketing strategy is any indication, then perhaps “Chinese Democracy”, with its anthemic wail and ball breaking combustion, might be great.
Whatever the case, this is only further indication that Chinese Democracy will be out by November 23rd.
