Check Out: Golden Bloom’s “Doomsday Devices”

Golden Bloom, that New York pop sextet you may recognize from our One Year Anniversary Mixtape and/or frontman Shawn Fogel’s creative pro-Obama essay on Largehearted Boy, currently find itself splitting time between recording its debut album, due out early next year, and preparing for the release of “Doomsday Devices”, the band’s second single. But as busy as Golden Bloom is these days, the group still managed time to record a new video for the single, and has shared it with Consequence of Sound for all to enjoy.

Between the dancing monkey and the old school Nintendo controllers, the video is already well worthwhile. Add in the band’s catchy I’m From Barcelona like pop melodies, and “Doomsday Devices” can’t help but leave a smile on your face.

Golden Bloom 2008 Tour Dates:
10/24 - Bar Harpor, ME @ The Lompoc
11/01 - Bridgeport, CT @ Two Boots
11/12 - Brooklyn, NY @ Matchless

  1. I like how Bar Harbor can be mistaken for Ben Harper.
