Cuomo plans second demo outing, Alone II
Disgusted by the latest offering by Weezer? Missed the Troublemaker Tour? Not in the mood to rile it up in a Hootenany? Well, maybe you’re just not a fan of Weezer, then; perhaps, you’re just itchin’ for some of that ol’ school Rivers Cuomo. Let’s fact it, he’s not the same guy he was ten years ago. So that’s why last year’s solo outing, his demos filled Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo, was such a success.
Well, obviously it struck the right nerve because there’s another one on its way. Titled Alone II:The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo, the second offering of Cuomo demos finds its way to stores on November 25th. Wow, what a busy week with GnR, The Killers, and Kanye West. What’s a nerdy frontman to do?
This should bring some smiles to Pinkerton-era fans, considering the original release held some rare cuts originally slated for the band’s alleged mystery album, Songs From the Black Hole. The trend seems to continue with Alone II, as Interpunk.com reports, “All demos recorded between 1992-2007. Includes a 3 song mini suite from the highly sought after Songs From The Black Hole and a cover of the Beach Boys’ “Don’t Worry Baby.”" Those are some pretty good hints so far, but one can only wonder and speculate what else this might hold…
Or they can just wait and pick it up, along with a copy of Chinese Democracy, 808s & Heartbreak, and Day & Age.
Yowza, get those Hannukah (or Christmas) lists ready!

Me either! It’s my favorite Beach Boys tune, or at least one of them.
