Adele follows up SNL with U.S. tour
Still reeling from the attention of last weekend’s performance on Saturday Night Live, Adele has announced plans to head back to the states early next year. Beginning in mid-January, the British native will embark on a 11-date U.S. tour in support of her debut studio album, 19. Add in the fact that Adele will celebrate the one year anniversary of the album’s release in the midst of the tour, and the shows should prove to be quite special. But what about that all important SNL spike?
Adele’s recent performance on Saturday Night Live proved lucrative after millions tuned in to catch Sarah Palin’s appearance on the same programme…
As a result, the exposure has seen Adele’s debut album “19″ shoot to the top of the iTunes digital downloads chart in the US.
Well there you go. The question now becomes: will her “new best friend” make an appearance or two during the upcoming tour? I guess that’s probably dependent on the result of the election…
