Check Out: The Killers debut more Day & Age
Tonight may be New York’s turn, but Las Vegas’ likely turned out to be the most special. With the release of Day & Age a mere month away and a world tour following soon after that, The Killers are using the next couple of weeks to prepare for things to come with a few “warm up” shows across the U.S. and Canada. Along with tuning up the old, Brand Flowers and Co. are also working out the kinks on some of the band’s new material, a couple songs which until the band’s performance in Las Vegas this past Monday, few outside the inner circle have heard.
In addition to offering up a the classics (“When You Were Young”, “Somebody Told Me”) and the previously debuted material from Day & Age (“Human”, “Spaceman”), The Killers debuted two new selections from their forthcoming fourth studio effort during the 20-song set: the horn-heavy, Springsteen influenced “Losing Touch”, which is currently designated as track #1 on Day & Age, and the funky “Joy Ride”. Both songs certainly appear to offer rather contrasting sounds to the the album’s atmospheric first single, while still maintaining a nice bounce.

Am I the only one growing less worried about this album by the day? November 25th is certainly shaping up to be quite the day…
The band has a few more warm up dates scheduled, including the aforementioned one in New York tonight, but unless you’re willing to spend a pretty penny, you might just want to wait for the main portion of the North American tour.
