Bon Iver welcomes winter with tour
Ah, can you wait for that cold air? There’s nothing better than seeing your breath float around you while you shiver to your destination. I can feel it already, and if you’ve listened to any of Bon Iver’s beautiful For Emma, Forever Ago, you’ll see why Justin Vernon is rather familiar with the sensation too. The album, put bluntly, is cold. Recorded and written in a remote cabin during the harsh Wisconsin winter, the scene’s
climate finds its way into the music. And while this summer’s tour was lengthy, the summer heat did not exactly fit the Bon Iver moniker (meaning Good Winter) or sound.
Well, lucky for us winter lovers he’s got a new but brief tour, and it could be a good segway into the chill. Along for the ride is fellow friend of the cold, Swedish Dylan worshiping The Tallest Man on Earth. If you plan to attend one of these shows, I’d keep the coats on, cause once the music starts it’ll be just as cold as it was outside.
