M83 relives past, plans future
When Anthony Gonzalez kicks off his two-month world tour next month, the French native will no longer be touring in support of his most recent studio endeavor, Saturdays = Youth. Nope, the man better known in the music world as M83 will actually be celebrating the rerelease of all five of his full-length albums. Only this time around, with the exception of Digital Shades, they will arrive in the ever popular vinyl format. On November 25th, Mute Records will reissue 4/5 of M83’s discography as double LPs (plus bonus CD), while 2007’s digital-only release will hit stores for the first time as a physical CD. So for those who are exclusively vinyl, now is your opportunity to catch up on the critically acclaimed electro-friendly musician.
Getting back to that two-month tour, as mentioned, it will kick off in early November and take M83 across both North American and Europe, where he will be supporting Kings of Leon. Tickets for a majority of U.S. dates are now available via ticketmaster.com.
