Check Out: Zombie’s “War Zone”

Check Out: Zombie’s “War Zone”

Rob Zombie has been off the radar since his last project, a retelling of Halloween back in 2007. However, with promotion for the upcoming film Punisher: War Zone now in full swing, the heavy metal legend is again in the forefront. As now evident based on the sounds blasting on the film’s official website, Zombie will appear on the soundtrack of the Punisher franchise’s second reboot with a brand new single. The song, appropriately titled “War Zone”, is surely enough done in Rob Zombie style with throbbing drums and growling vocals.

Don’t take our word for it though, we have the latest stream right here for your enjoyment! Punisher: War Zone will be out November 18th, as will its 13-track, metal-friendly soundtrack. Unfortunately, Zombie does not make an acting appearance in the film. You’ll have to wait until next year’s Tyrannosaurus Rex before you can enjoy your popcorn with some friendly Zombie screen time. As for the music side of things, the Boston native is expected to release his new studio album, rumored to be titled Dark Revelation, in 2009, as well.

Am I ticked that there isn’t a new full-length from our horror movie madman yet? Just a little, however this should tide us over until he and his ghoulish crew decide to make their return. Perfect timing right before Halloween, don’t you think? Take a listen, and happy haunting.
